Central Hotel has a policy to serve guests and patrons in a responsible, friendly and professional manner.

Management and staff of Central Hotel support Responsible Service of Alcohol and Responsible Conduct of Gambling practices.

Central Hotel management and staff abide by all relevant legislation relating to the service and supply of liquor, in particular consuming of alcohol in moderation.

Licensing laws prohibit liquor supply to the disorderly and/or unduly intoxicated. Patrons and guests showing signs of undue intoxication or disorderly behaviour will be refused service and/or be asked to leave the premises. We reserve the right to define “intoxication” for this purpose.

Service of alcohol will be refused to any person who cannot produce appropriate proof of age. Only the following types of photo ID will be accepted:
1Valid State or Territory photo drivers licence
2Valid Australian or International photo passport
3Valid and Approved government issued proof of age card (18+ card)
4Valid International photo drivers license

Central Hotel will not engage in any practice or promotion that encourages the rapid or excessive consumption of liquor.

Central Hotel actively promotes and makes available water, a range of non-alcoholic and low-alcohol drinks and food for patrons and guests should they wish.

Central Hotel has a safe transport policy for patrons and guests requiring assistance.

Central Hotel supports on-going staff training in Responsible Service of Alcohol and Responsible Conduct of Gambling.

An incident register will be kept on the premises as a record with full details of incidents involving guests, patrons, staff and security in and around the premises.

Management believes all staff are able to make decisions based on this policy, hence decisions made by staff will be reinforced by management.
